Black Widow Cosplay
Hey Avengers fandom! I’m trying to cosplay as Black Widow for Comic-con San Diego this year, and have identified the guns Natasha uses (glock 26), but can’t find a reliable source for a pair of them. Any help would be appreciated.

Well thanks, oohtheyhavenibbles, for making me even more afraid of cosplaying as awesome characters who happen to be PoC. And thanks for supporting the idea that white = arrogant racist bitch/bastard. I’ve had that shit thrown in my face twice; both times the individuals knew I wasn’t racist but knew that the accusation would be enough to silence my objections to their behavior. Lucky me both people were known to be liars and manipulative little twits.
A white girl as Korra is ok. An extremely dark skinned girl as Sailor moon is ok. A Mexican dude as Misty is fine. You know why? Because cosplay is showing love for who a character is.Pooper-scoopin has it right. This is about cosplay, not race or gender. Take your justified anger to the real world, and help the rest of us stamp out the bs that got you so angry in the first place.

I never said white people were all racist, arrogant, or either one of those slurs. I’m white, ffs. ANYONE can whitewash a character and it’s still problematic. (and I never said anything about characters being racebent into POC?? omfg that’s totally fine! it’s a representation issue!)
I DID NOT KNOW IT WAS ABOUT COSPLAY AND MY RAGE WAS DIRECTED TOWARDS PEOPLE WHITEWASHING CHARACTERS IN ART. Sorry for the caps but I can’t repeat this enough. There was ZERO context on the post for it being about cosplay! I assumed it was about art.
In terms of cosplaying POC when you’re white? I won’t personally do it out of respect for, again, the representation issue. I don’t care if other people do it, though.

My Tardis costume: Hot Topic Tardis dress, red sexy bow tie, and my own makeup! I will have to look at some tutorials and tips to use it for Con, but I think you get the general idea of Rose-Tardis.
Maybe a wig would help….

He was such an awesome guy and I got the chance to get a hug and chat. He’s only been cosplaying for 2 years. He’s amazing!
I love this guy so much. I gave him a free print of my Fire Lord Zuko portrait last year at ANext because he is amazing. I’m amused he puts up with animu cons to cosplay. I hope someday I see him when I’m cosplaying Ursa again!
I think I saw him with a Zuko at SDCC. He posed for the pic and started lecturing Zuko in Mako’s voice. It was excellent.
